Boy's Bubble with Shaped Lace Collar

This wonderful boy's bubble was created from blue Pima broadcloth using Sarah Howard Stone's Meriwhether pattern. The shaped collar which is based on the collar included in the pattern was drawn off and an embroidery design added to fit within the curve of the shaped lace.

The front yoke features lace insertions and beading as well as pressed tucks. The laces used in this design are vintage ones that I have collected over time.

  1. I happened upon your blog the other day and I can't get enough of it. You are incredibly talented. Heirloom sewing is truly a lost art. I love how gorgeous all of your pieces are. I would love to learn. I wish there was someone here in Colorado that taught heirloom sewing.
