Pressed Tucked and Set-in Sleeve Daygown

In creating this gown, I used Sarah Howard Stone, Inc. Pattern Package II set-sleeve daygown pattern. The pressed tucks were hand sewn. I left a one inch space between the tucks to add hand embroidery. The tatting I made using DMC 80 weight thread in #3325 color.

This precious daygown has SOLD.

Daygown with Swiss Embroidered Trim

In this version of Sarah Howard Stone, Inc. Babette pattern, Swiss embroidered trim is rolled and whipped to entredeux on both sides of the placket. It is also applied to the sleeve cuff. It created a sweet, old fashioned look. Ribbon was added to the entredeux beading on the sleeves. I created another gown using blue Swiss embroidered trim.

Both daygowns were designed by and made for Sarah Howard Stone. Inc.

Pink Batiste Dress with Pintucked and Lace Bands

This amazing dress was created using fine Swiss batiste in a pastel pink. The bodice showcases pintucks running horizontally on both the front and back with lace insertion vertically applied. Once the bodice's front and back were seamed at the shoulder, a lace strip consisting of three lace insertions was hand applied to the curve of the neckline and then finished by machine. Underneath is a full slip made out of imperial broadcloth. This dress was finished with a two inch satin ribbon sash. Designed by and created for Sarah Howard Stone, Inc.

Eyelet and Pintucked Girl's Dress

This simple, lovely dress was created to be worn by a flower girl in a wedding. The bodice was made using the Collars, Etc Bodice Dress pattern. The bodice has a wide eyelet insertion with pintucks and a narrow eyelet insertion on either side. The skirt is finished with pintucks, eyelet insertion and edging. A two inch satin ribbon was added to complete the design.

Boy's Romper with Embroidered Spoke Collar

This Easter suit/romper was made for a nine month old boy. The suit was created from Pima broadcloth and the collar from Swiss batiste. I used the Cherry Williams Baby Romper and Jumpsuit pattern with a few modifications for the suit itself. The collar I designed using Sarah Howard Stone, Inc. Basic Square Yoke Dress pattern as my basis for the design and adjusted the seam allowances and the neck circumference to fit the Cherry Williams pattern.
